ShopThermalOptics is run out of Choctaw, Oklahoma, by people who spend their fall in the field and their off-season figuring out how to make the next season easier. Forty-eight years of it, in my case.
The mounts
Most of what's wrong with trail camera setups comes down to one problem: your camera has to go where a tree is, not where the deer are. We hold the patents on the T-post and solar panel mounts that solve it. Drive a post on a food plot, a field edge, a creek crossing, a fence line, and you have a camera location — with an articulating arm that aims your solar panel south while the camera stays on the trail.
The optics
With a catalog of over 8000 items, we're an authorized dealer for most of the popular brands today. Thermal and night vision are expensive, and the specs on a page only tell you so much. We've run some of this equipment in the dark on real ground, and if something isn't the right tool for what you're doing, we'll tell you that instead of selling it to you.
